Physiotherapy
internationally trained, some with many years of working abroad, Our Physiotherapists have a strong focus on hands on treatment and exercise rehabilitation.
According to Toni, physiotherapy is one of the best professions in the world. A Physiotherapist does not only help people in pain, but through careful and thorough assessments can find the underlying cause of the problem and work on solutions to prevent the pain from reoccurring.
Physiotherapists at Balance treat the body as a whole. By realising that everything in the body is interconnected, they may decide to treat the hip for a neck problem or the neck for an elbow problem. They take into consideration the physical, biological and behavioural influences of the body and custom create treatment programmes for each client. Our core vision at Balance is the belief in the necessity to “move to improve” and “to keep moving” in whatever way our bodies allow us to. The duty of our Physiotherapists is to find the ideal movement pattern for every person, regardless of their ability and condition. Working closely together with Massage Therapists, Biokineticists, Personal Trainers, Yoga and Pilates Instructors we aim to find the right exercise to help each individual get better.
All of us have our preferences how to exercise and move, be it running, weight training, yoga, cycling, swimming or just plain walking. The key is to find the right balance between the preferred exercise and the bodies needs. At Balance the whole team will collectively design customised programs to fit each individual to enable optimum recovery and long lasting improvements.
We do not use electrotherapy equipment.
What to wear
Less is more as the physiotherapists will want to see as much as possible of your body for assessments and treatment. We provide shorts and a sports top if needed.
